The Versatile Blogger Award

Hi everyone!

I'm really sorry that I haven't post something two days ago, I was really busy with school and now I have finally some time to blog :D.

A few days ago I've been nominated for the Versatile blogger award by the amazing blogger of A Room of Wonders. Before I was nominated I actually didn't knew what the award was, but after searching a little bit on the internet I found these rules:

- thank the person who nominated you (done!)
- tell the person who nominated you 7 things about yourself
- nominate another 15 bloggers for the Versatile blogger award

7 random things about me:

  1. I'm really bad at sports. I really hate P.E and everything that has to do with sport.
  2. My birthday is on the 11th of August 1998.
  3. I love reading thrillers. I don't know, it's just a weird obsession of me, but I also like reading romans.
  4. Deadline written by Rachel Ward I one of my favorites books since I was 11 (I don't know why I read that book when I was so young, it is actually a young adult book)
  5. I love rabbits, but at the same time I'm always a little bit afraid of dogs.
  6. Divergent and The fault in our stars are my favorite films at the moment.
  7. I love traveling and discovering new cities.

And now I nominate:

I hope you like it!

And for the bloggers I nominate, don't forget to leave your link to the versatile blogger award in the comments. I love to read them!

OOTD: Comfy school outfit

Hi everyone!

Today school started again after 1 week vacation. (Why was the vacation so short? :() So I just wanted to wear something comfy at school. And it is already a few weeks ago I showed you my outfit of the day.

I maybe haven't told you, but a few days ago I went shopping with a good friend of me (Yay!), but I actually haven't bought so much, only new pants, mascara and some wool. After we shopped we drank something in exki and it was very cozy.

I chose today for a an oversized cardigan with a floral blouse and the new black pants I just bought to wear at school.

Floral Blouse: Pimkie
High waist black pants: Vero Moda
Burgundy oversized cardigan: Pull & Bear
Silver Bracelet

I hope you liked it and what do you think of it?

New floral watch: deallerleukste.nl

Hi everyone!

Like the title already says, I bought myself a new watch! My previous watch broke a few months ago, and I really can't live without a watch. I know, when I was a child I hated it to wear it, but now I can't live without it.

I looked for a new watch on the internet for a while. I didn't want to spend too much money and I wanted a good watch for a good price. And past week I finally found one. As you maybe already know, I'm really in love with flowers (haha!) So this watch was just perfect! It has a very simple strap with a floral background in the watch.

I bought this watch on an online webshop (deallerleukste.nl), and the delivery was just so quickly (which is definitely a plus point for me).

I just can't stop saying you how much I love this watch (haha, but I'm going to stop talking now about this amazing watch)

I hope you liked it and what do you think of it?

Washi tape DIY's

Hi everyone!

I'm really in love with washi tape! For the people who don't know it: it is actually just paper tape which you have in so many different colors, patterns, designs, ... And it is just such a fun and easy way to decorate things. It is just so addictive to buy, I already have 10 rolls (haha oeps!) And another advantage is that it is really easy to remove, you can just take it off.

Here are some small DIY's I made. I actually just decorated some stuff, but you can do everything with it.

It is really the easiest way to decorate a notebook, something I already have done a lot with my books. It also looks nice to do on your schoolbooks to cheer up your day a little bit. And I made this little thing to my notebook to put a pen in.

And I also have decorated my note holders, this is much more fun than a boring blue note holder.

I hope you liked it and what have you already decorated with washi tape?

Bag 'Cath Kidston' + Sewing book

Hi everyone!

Yesterday I finally finished this bag and like I already said in my preview post, I'm going to show it to you. I was so happy when I got this book from a good friend of me! I already have it for a few months, but I just didn't knew how I had to start and now I finally knew it.

The sewing book is a book written by Cath Kidston, it's an English brand and she also has a shop and a blog. I really love this book! Everything is described really well and the patterns are all so cute and useful. As you can see on the pictures, I really love the bags, but all the patterns are cute too. If you buy the book, everything to make the bag on the cover is included. So you can start immediately :).

And I've finally made the bag. The description was really clear, like I always have, I thought there was a mistake in the description, so I did it like I thought it was, but it was wrong, of course (I hope I'm not the only one who has this haha!) And finally, I succeeded to put the bag correctly together. Yeay! Like I already said, the fabric is already in the book and already cut to the wright size, that was really handy.

Unfortunately, the bag was a little bit small and with a really short handle, and it looked than a little bit as a bag for little kids. So I realized it that it was a little too small before I sewed the handles on it, so I just left it as it was. And now I'm using the bag (without the handles) as a big pencil case to put my crochet stuff in.

In this book there is also a variant on the bag, but with another handle and with a liner. Maybe I'm going to make this another time again and before I start I'm going to enlarge the pattern first.

I hope you liked it and let me know what you think!

Carnival: cat ears DIY

Hi everyone!

Today was carnivalentine! (= carnival + valentine, haha :) Actually carnival is something a lot of children celebrate, but my school does it too. And it is tomorrow valentine, every year at school we can write a letter to a friend or someone you love, and than they give it anonymous to that person. And I write a few small letters to a few really good friends of me.

As I already said it was carnival, and we had to dress ourselves. I didn't want to wear a whole costume, so I just dressed me as a cat: I had a tail, whiskers and cat ears, I've made by myself.
When I finished my ears, I've also made some for my mum =D. It were all materials I already had so it is really easy to make.

Let's start with the DIY!

You need for the first ears: a diadem, small pearls and thin iron wire.

You just have to wrap the wire around the diadem, and put on the place where you want a lot of pearls on the wire and form it in a cat ear, go further and make the second ear. And, if you want, you can go back with the wire and make the smaller cat ears. Done!

For the second ears you need: a diadem, felt in two colors, sewing thread and a needle.

You just have to cut out the form of a cat ear out the felt. Sew the cat ear felt around the diadem. And you can make a smaller triangle and glue or sew it on the ears. Done!

I hope you liked it! And what have you wore with carnival?

Shelf next to desk: Organizing idea #1

Hi everyone!

Maybe you already knew, but a few weeks ago I bought this shelf at Ikea, and I finally hang it up (I actually just asked my dad to hang it haha!).

A while ago, I wanted to have a bigger desk to put my printer and laptop on. But I didn't want to buy a whole new desk, so I just found this cheap shelf at Ikea. I just moved my desk a little bit, so that the shelf could hang against the wall. And than pushed my desk against the shelf.

I think it is just a cheap and easy way to create more space, it is very easy as long as you know how to hang up a shelf ;).

As you've probably already seen in the title, is this a new serie I'm starting. In 'organizing idea' I'm going to show you different ways how to organize all your stuff, this is something that is always helpful and I think you can never be too organized :).

I hope you liked it and let me know what you think!

Knitted cushion: pompon wool

Hi everyone!

Yesterday, I finally finished this cushion I started a few years ago (haha!). I really love this cushion and it lies now comfortably in my bed, so I don't have it cold at night. It is really the easiest thing to knit, because I actually can't knit, but with this it is just so easy! And it is so comfy and warm!

I actually just bought a cushion and made a cushion cover for it. It is made from pompon wool, and it is all just knitted. You just has to knit 2 knits between every pompon. I just looked how large my cushion is and than made the pattern.

I used one and a half balls of pompon wool and a knitting needle of 3mm. And at the end, I just sewed the sides together.

Let me know what you think!

Penguin DIY

Hi everyone!

Today I'm going to show you 3 DIYs I have made a while ago. And maybe you knew already that my favorite animal is a penguin, so ... it are 3 penguins, but all 3 are different :).
I think the first penguin is the easiest to make. The second is maybe the hardest, because you has to take care that everything fits in each other. And the last one is the cheapest, but making the penguin out of carton is maybe a little bit difficult.

Let's start with the first penguin!

For the first penguin you need: a penguin in isomo (you can buy it in a lot of craftshops), small pins and small sequins in black, yellow and white

You just has to put a  sequin on the isomo penguin and put a small pin through the hole of the sequin so that it stays in place. And do this until you whole isomo penguin is covered with sequins in the right color.

Then the second penguin!

You only need: foam board and a cutter

First you has to cut out a piece of foam board in the shape of a penguin (this will be the part where you put all the circles in) and then you has to cut out all circles in different sizes (but it will be actually more ovals), so they fits right on the penguin.

And finally the last penguin!

You need: carton, tape, a pencil, décopatch paper and décopatch glue

First I made a carton penguin out of the carton and the tape has to hold everything together. And then you just have to décopatch it. If you are too lazy to make your own carton penguin, you can just buy one in a craftshop, but I thought making my own is just cheaper)

I hoped you liked it and let me know what you think!

"Pylones" ring + "Achter de maan" box

Hi everyone!

I'm going to show some late New Years presents I got.

The first thing is a box from the shop "Achter de maan", it's is actually just a box where you can store everything, but it just looks so nice and cute. From now on, I will prefer to put this box on my closet instead of all the rubbish (haha!)

And I got this ring from the brand "Pylones" and it comes also from "Achter de maan". I had already seen him in the shop, but hadn't bought it, so I finally got this ring. It's a ring with small pearls in it, it's actually really simple, but I really love him. It just looks so festive, cute and cool.

Now you're all probably thinking where is this shop, it's in Antwerp and in Gent in Belgium. Most of their brands could you probably find also in other shops in other countries. But I really love this shop, everything is there just so cute! The whole shop is filled with all this kind of stuff :D.

I know, maybe it's time to stop writing about this cool shop, but I just wanted to tell you if you ever come in Antwerp, you has to go to this shop.

I hope you liked it and let me know what you think!

January Favorites

Hi everyone!

Today February officially begun. And I think, it's the perfect time to look back at January.
It's winter and my favorite candy at the moment are these cuberdons, I got for New Year :P.

I started this month with trying to post every two days something on my blog, I thought I couldn't, but I did it! Because this month I posted a lot of things on my blog, it was hard to chose my favorites, but I have picked a few out.

First my New Year OOTD, I've worn the dress a few times and I still love the dress and earrings. And I want to thank you for the sweet comments.

Then I really love this book from Flow I got for Christmas. Everything just looks so beautiful and cute, I'm definitely going to use the paper more.

I actually crochet a lot this month, and there came out some nice things. Like the guitar, mittens and the cactus pincushion.

And to end, I really love the waffles and M&M muffins I made.

I hope you liked it! What where your favorites of January?
